How to submit an article to the Knowledge Base.

It's easy! Simply write your article, take lots of pictures and post them in the Submissions Forum! Before your post will be added to the Knowledge Base, it must be reviewed by the staff.

After you post it, it will be available to view by EVERYONE immediately. However only YOU can edit or add/reply to it until it has been reviewed by the staff and moved to the appropriate section of the Knowledge Base. Once in the KB, others may comment/reply.

Some tips:

  1. Take lots of pictures. A picture is worth a 1,000 words!
  2. Upload All images to our gallery, and link them into your How-To from the gallery. Do not use any photo hosting service. (Here is a video showing exactly how to link images from your forum gallery into your posts. Video: How to post pictures from your forumz gallery)
  3. Write it for a beginner. Alot of us here are gearheads, but some are new to modding their cars. Gear your instructions towards someone who is new to doing this type of work. You'll get less questions and it'll be appreciated. Those who have more experience will benefit from this attention to detail as well.
  4. Let everyone know the tools you use. Do you need to buy/rent any special tools? Even better, if you are using wrenches, let us know what size wrench you use for each task. It makes life easier for everyone when they know exactly what tools to bring out to the car instead of the entire toolbox.
  5. How long is it going to take? What is the difficulty level?
Thanks! You are doing everyone a big service by sharing your tips and tricks with modifying and maintaining these great vehicles! :banhim3:
