Hi,

I'm new to the forum and just bought a 2011 Challenger R/T Classic. Any suggestion for first performance upgrade? I'm thinking cold air. I hea AFE is good. I'm also putting black wheels on.

A lot of us start out with a Catch Can to keep oil out of the Throttle Body and Intake Manifold.

Here's some ideas for performance mods:

1.) Catch can
2.) Tuner (i.e. Intune or Trinity from Diablosport)
3.) Custom tune from Hemifever (really wakes the car up big time)
4.) CAI (LMI makes good stuff, AFE you mentioned is also good)

You can probably get all that stuff for $750-900 or so and it will really wake the car up and make it more fun to drive.

You can also get an exhaust but that doesn't really add much hp, just more sound. Headers are good too but pricey for the hp gained. Throttle body is questionable, some report gains, other report 0hp gains, etc.

Have you checked to see if your car is part of the timing chain recall ? After that I would go with the catch can and tune as well.
