So...I opened my sunroof the other day while I was enjoying the 75 degree days in Little Rock, and I discovered that one of the accordian wind deflectors on the side had somehow gotten torn on one of the folds. So, my question is...can I just take these things completely off with no appreciable difference, or should I have them changed out by the dealership? I couldn't figure out how to get them off; it seems like there are a couple of clips on the sunroof glass, but the bottom side, I'm not so sure about. Thoughts, anyone?

Although I don't have a sunroof, I would think that that would be part of the weatherproofing and you would definitely want to keep it. That's JMO.

REMOVAL

1. Move the glass panel to the full closed position.
2. Slide sunshade rearward to the open position.
3. Separate the mechanism covers (1) from the tabs on the glass panel by pulling the top edge inboard from both sides of the cover.

4. Hold both mechanism covers down and open the sunroof fully.
5. Slide the mechanism covers (1) out the front of the guide in the frame (2).
