I'd like to be able to turn the TPMS sensors off so it doesn't flip out all the time when I have my drag wheels on. That'd be a nice update alone right there.

I haven't done any firmware updates in forever, since I got it last year. I think there was a fan setting update too to have it kick on in the pits with the car off. I'm always nervous of these updates, seems like a lot of times they're not perfect at first.

I tried updating my Trinity tuner the other day to get trans tuning for my transmission and all I had was problems. Driver problems, software problems, then finally when I got that all sorted out, the Trinity would try to update to the new crom file and it would just crash about halfway through every time. Then I couldn't even load tunes onto the Trinity anymore because DS Downloader would keep crashing and shut down. Luckily I was smart and kept an old reliable version of DS Downloader and the corresponding drivers on my computer, so I loaded those back on and deleted the new version and now everything is back to normal again. I read on the Hellcat forum that others were having issues updating their tuners for the new crom file as well. Think I'll wait until spring to try that trans tuning stuff out.

That sucks. Wonder why it's so goofy? What firmware version are you running? I'm on a much older one. I wonder if you can just revert back to an older firmware version? Maybe check on his website to see if he has older ones available out there. Might be a temporary solution. You'd lose the fan feature but I don't know how great that is anyway.

Bummer about the rain out yesterday. Hopefully it'll be nice on Sunday. Wanting to try out a few things with my car and see if it'll pick up any.

I see 2.4.0 is now available. You could give that a try. Try it out before Sunday to make sure it works properly, etc.

Yeah you can always just do a brake torque but hopefully you can get your Tazer to work properly.

I know, no kidding, today was beautiful! Could have used this weather yesterday! Oh well. Just checked the forecast again for Sunday and it shows sunny and 48! Hope they're right! That'd be some awesome weather!

The line lock did actually act up at Lapeer on One of my brunouts. Usually if I unplug it Then plug it back in its fine. Not a huge deal, just need to remember to unplug it after each run.... I haven't done the software update yet so maybe that' would fix the line lock issue I'm having.

What features does the new firmware offer? I'm always afraid to update stuff because I seem to always have problems then. Right now everything works fine.

i found out out there is a local Mustang tuner in my area , that tunes late model Hemi's
he only use Hptuners thou. they also have trans. tuning for our scatpack A8.
i know you've have had great results with Diablo trinity tuner/ with hemifever tunes..
the LS guys use HPtuners alot , not sure how they are with late model hemi's thou...

here is a email i received regarding scat apck tuning............

    Mark,
We are only using HP tuners on the Late model Hemi stuff. We have a set price on the Scatpack cars where we install a 180* therm, unlock the PCM, do our complete tune + Dyno time + also unlock and re-tune the 8-speed trans too. The total cost for this is 1100.00.
The car has to be left with me for about 6 to 8 working days because the PCM goes out for the unlock procedure during most of that time.
We are finding only about 15-20 more RWHP on those with our tuning. But they gain anywhere from 2-4 tenths in the 1/4 mile mostly from how we revamp some of the WOT shifting and TQ lockup. We also redo and modify the shifting and Lock-up schedule around town at what I can intermediate speeds too. This makes them feel a lot lighter on their feet under light to medium loads.
Let me know if this info helps.

Mark, that sounds cool. HP Tuners is good too from what I've heard. I don't think they gain anything over Diablosport though from what I've seen. Sean's tune will pick up about 20-25rwhp, so about .2-.25 off the ET roughly.

Diablosport has trans tuning out. From what I've researched, the gains are not as great for our 392 cars because the engine doesn't make a whole lot of power beyond the stock rev limit. The tuners I've talked to said that raising the shift points up to 6400RPM would probably yield a gain of .05-.10 off the ET, but not much beyond that. The hellcat guys are picking up more because their power curves are different and they make power beyond the stock rev limit. They have been shaving off .3 or so from the ET by raising shift points higher.

The torque converter locks in Track mode from what I understand, so I don't know how much more there is to do with that.

I think either way you go will be good. I just went with Diablosport because that's what I was familiar with and more people on here use it so I was able to scoop up stuff used for cheap.

From what I have heard, you do not want to remove any torque management from the trans tune. Leave that at 100%, but raise shift points to 6400RPM. I've read several stories where guys cooked their transmissions by removing torque management, at least our 8HP70's.

I know your scatpack runs amazing with the diablo trinity/ with hemifever tune.
So Im leaning more towards your setup .:).
The diablo tuner might cost me a few bucks more cause of the PCM I will need to buy.plus the hemifever tune.but I do see they sell the trinity tuner / with pcm for around $1,100 plus I would need a tune also.
