My daughter and I went to Best Buy this evening, and as usual I parked WAY off all by myself to avoid door dings, We come out and there is this Mustang parked right next to me. I sighed and mumbled something along the lines of WTF. My daughters response was priceless --" yeah, why did they go out of their way to park next to a car that makes theirs look bad?"

I think she has an ulterior motive. She was just buttering up daddy for her own Challenger! LOL!

That is great. my 14 year old daughter is more into cars than most boys in her high school. She told me a story just last night about the time a couple weeks ago when my wife dropped her off one morning in my Challenger. As she walked in a boy watched my wife pull away, with his mouth hanging open staring. She said to him "why are you staring at my dad's car?" he just stammered at her, couldn't even get words out. She laughed and walked on by. She takes great joy in correcting the boys in class when they are exaggerating or making things up that aren't right when it comes to performance cars. Sounds like your daughter is in the same vane as mine. You definitely did something right. I am not a religious guy, but as the saying goes, God bless the girls.

Love it TexasRT!

Isn't it funny, no matter how far away you park, someone always parks next to you. I guess there is two ways to think about it. One, they want to be parked next to greatness. Two, they just shielded your car from cross aisle drivers and could take the blow instead of you.

One late afternoon, we had parked way, way out there to avoid the same folks dinging our car, etc at our local Schnucks (grocery chain). When we walked out with our goods, there was a guy standing by our car looking in the window. When we walked over to the guy, he greeted us and gave many compliments on the car. When I asked him what he was driving, he said it was a Porsche 911 Carrera and it was parked just 30 feet away. I said "nice car", he said "I think I want the Challenger instead" and was going to trade his car for one. I let him sit in it, start it up, etc. He was really impressed and had stated "Dodge has really upped their game".

Good story!

1.) People always seem to park next to you no matter how far away you park. I like to call these kind of people "morons".
2.) Your daughter is awesome! You did a great job warping her into loving cars and the right kind of cars at that! Keep up the good work!

Awesome! I love when they are on your level with stuff.

My daughter is only 3.5 but she thanks "darth" whenever we get someplace and sometimes she asks to hear him talk, which is code for revving the engine. Kids are so cool.

If it is a nice car that parks next to mine in that situation, then it does not bother me as it is now sort of gang protection! LOL On the other hand, if it is crappy car, then I am definitely not happy.
