I'm assuming those are a national average? Remind me to never leave here....I'm paying less than that for both Challenger and a 2012 RAM....

I live in a suburb outside DC and we have some pretty expensive Insurance. The difference between my 2009 scion XB toaster to my 2014 RT was $14 a month. I was absolutely shocked how cheap the insurance was on it.

Must be national composite averages, and probably not restricted to AAA alone. I pay almost $1000 less to insure both my Challenger and Jeep, but I have my Challenger insured as my 2nd vehicle and my Jeep as my DD.

Here in sweden i pay 900$. That is for a full year, total cover. I was real happy to have that insurance on my former car, a Charger -07. One night when it was parked some maniac (stoned i guess) kicked the driver door and windows, scratched the hood, jumped on the roof of the car and so on. It took the shop several weeks to get new parts from the US but they did a great job and it did not cost me a dime. The cost for the insurance company was $5000.

That time i was really happy to have insurance

Yikes.....I pay less than that for the car, truck, motorcycle and the house combined.
Same here. Our entire monthly nut is less than those numbers for two cars, with teenage drivers in the house and homeowners plus personal articles policies.

I have to wonder what criteria AAA used to come up with those numbers...were they using an 18 year old with a speeding ticket or two? Those figures might then work out to be monthly payments...:D

If your Challenger or other cars are not your daily drivers then check with Hagerty.com or even better check with the National Corvette Museum. You do not have to have a corvette for them to insure your car. They accept any car other than your usual daily drivers. I have 3 Pontiac Trans Ams, a Z06 corvette and my Shaker Challenger with the Corvette Museum. Adam Boca is the agent at the museum. This is a collector car type insurance where the car must be garaged and cannot be your daily driver and may have limited mile restrictions. My Z06, insured for 60k is $400 a year for example.

Well apparently the Hartford read this report because my Insurance just jumped 30%. I got to call them!Although the Challenger premium is still well below the national average.
