With all the hoods available to us as challenger owners, I am looking for some advice from those who have purchased hoods in the past as some of my friends who own chargers/ challenger have described nightmares and easy installations with the hoods they have purchased. I have narrowed my choices down to three and am not going to ask anything which has to do with paint, as every auto body shop and hood will need a different amount of prep and paint. I am curious as to quality, customer service, durability and the would you do it again types of responses. I did post a similar thread on the other forums as I am wanting to get as much coverage and answers as possible to make my choice as informed as I can.

In no particular order the following are the three hoods I am considering.

1) Cervini's Cowl Hood

2) Speedlogix Fiberglass Ram Air Hood

3) Truefiber Cuda II Hood

again, the things I am just looking for are, quality (was it damaged, cracked, has it cracked, etc etc), Ease of installation.... type of prep, tools needed, extra holes needing to be drilled, sanding, alignment issues, Long term durability, Glue other material coming out of seems, cracking, and how has the hood held up overall to repeated opening and closing...

Anything else that I may not have thought of to throw in this post which may help me in deciding which of the three hoods listed would be best before I take the time to spend the money to find out, Oh crap I should have done this or this...

thanks in advance

I have a Cervini's T/A hood. I wouldn't buy another one, I don't like the look and I was never able to get the scoop to fit correctly. So it's sitting in my garage until I find someone who wants to spend some time making it 100%.

It's for sale.....

thanks for the responses... Jadaven, thanks for the offer (No shipping right lol) but in the group of cars I run with most of the time, that is what most of them are running is the T/A style hood. As nice as I think it looks, it just is not going to give me the look I am after for my car

It doesn't fit what I'm going for with my car but I really like the Cuda 2 hood it's got a great retro vibe and would go well with a non shaker Cuda build. I also really like the speedlogix ram air hood. I've seen the RAM air hood in person and think it looks amazing. Both hoods are built by truefiber so I suspect they'd both be good aftermarket hoods.

Take it easy
