To Mod or not to Mod a Mopar '14

So here is the question ... should I mod my Mopar '14 Challenger? I have the opportunity to have my car be the prototype for a supercharger company. Do you modify a Limited Edition car (only 100 built)?

My reason for doing it is because I like to race, and I need the extra power to compete in the racing I enjoy.

What are your thoughts on this?

Agree with TikiMan. JMO--you have two options: #1-Enjoy the Hell out of it. #2- (1970 to 2014--44 years), add that to your posted age, and hope at 85 YOA (IF you still have your MOPAR '14) you really give a damn if it's value increased (maybe).:gy:----LIVE LONG and ENJOY!!

Enjoy the car, maybe in the beginning you'll want to leave it the way you got it, and then down the road you may want to change things up and make her your own. Go for it  I wouldn't be to concern about value, it will keep depreciating like the rest of them. Keep the OEM parts you change, store them in a safe place, incase you ever want to go back to stock. Important thing is to enjoy the car the way you want....that's why you bought it.

BTW...there was only 1 built exactly like yours and 99 that look very similar. :)

I'd mod it. It's not going to be worth all that much in the future, there are plenty on the road and more being built and these cars are built better than the older ones so they'll last even longer. You'll be a senior citizen before you could cash in on any potential profit anyway, what fun is that?

If you like to race and you can afford it, put a supercharger on it and mod it and make it your own.

If you ever plan to sell the car down the road, realize you will take a loss on any significant mods you put on the car. If you plan to keep the car forever, none of that even matters. Life is short, have fun!

It's your car, build it how you want. However I'd save all the parts to put it back to stock incase you want to or a future owner wants to.

I have emailed Magnuson for information on this because there is nothing on their website and have gotten no reply. I know Steve White is selling a hood and shaker kit for a magnuson but there is very little information about this. I am working with another supercharger company to see if they want to produce a kit. I am going on monday for their engineers to do some measuring.

if you go to "the other forum", theres an entire thread in the vendor section showing the stages of the dealership installing the magnusun. Its actually installed on a 100th anniversary and they installed the magnusun and the shaker kit all at the same time, its a badazz car for sure.

THanks for the info. I'll check that out. Man the car in your signature looks familiar.

Ok great, don't get me wrong now it's your car if you want to add a supercharger then go for it, but as far as loaning it out to company for prototypes I personally wouldn't do it. There's just no need for all that since it's been done. Also if you really need power might just think about selling it and getting a scat pack or SRT.

Not enough horsepower. It takes 550+ to run 175mph - 180mph at Mojave or Texas.
