I am still trying to decide whether or not to trade my 2009 Nissan 370Z for this 2010 Challenger. A friend said to avoid the 10's because the 11's and later have much better interiors and suspensions. The interior looks great to me, the paint is great, handles like a car like this should and has 19K miles. I like my Z but the clutch/slave cylinder problem scares me to death. They want $22,995 for this car. Any suggestions as to how much you would pay?

Seems like you've been fighting this battle since you signed on here. It also sounds like you've got a ticking time bomb with the clutch in you Z where it may go and be a detrimental factor in being able to trade it in.

Bottom Line. If you find a Challenger that you like, is mechanically and cosmetically sound, and is in a price range that you wish to spend, byall means, go for it. This is the time of the year that dealers are looking to pare down their inventories. $23k is not a bad price to pay for a 19k mileage car, especially if maintenance records are documented. You may be able to geta little more off, especially if the dealer is motivated to sell.

Good Luck on your decision!

JMO-- go for the Challenger if it meets your requirements. As far as interior and suspensions, major change for 2015, not so much 2009 through 2014 (except the steering wheel).:4-dontknow:

Thanks guys

Yeah, I've been fighting this for some time. I've had sports cars, two seaters, since 1979. but, but, I've also had MOPARS. I have:

68 Barracuda under restoration (I'm doing it, don't know what I'm doing so
it will take a while) 360 4bbl
68 Dodge Charger so much rust this will take some work 383 4bbl
66 Sport Fury undergoing restortion 440 4bbl
66 Valiant convertible slant six

SO I need to decide. I am planning on Friday. If they make me a good offer, I joint the club and belong on here for once. Your comments have really helped by the way. This 10 drives and looks like a new car.

My 2010 handles perfectly. Don't get caught up on that 2011+ thing. I just went to that site and reviewed the car. It has the 18 in rims and a lower end radio. Couldn't tell if it had cloth or leather seats. NOTE: 2010 auto (MDS) timing chain/guide issue. You may want to run that Vin # and verify the recall warranty was done and hopefully before the motor blew up. Personally, I'd be leary of an 09 up auto if your not the orig owner.

Thanks TikiMan

I didn't know about the timing chain/recall deal. I'll have to bring that up. I saw the Challenger with 18" rims next to a Charger with 20" rims. You know, I kind of like the 18s better. I know, that must sound crazy to people but they looked right for the car. This really helps me a great deal so thanks.

I don't know if this is a viable option for you or not, but new 14's on the lot are going for about 2K more than what youre looking at paying for a 2010. I paid 25,200 for my car in May. Also, if you bought new you would have 4 more years of warranty on motor, not to mention have a 3 year/36K mile basic warranty. I looked at used Challengers myself, but at the price they wanted for them, new seemed like the best way to go for me. Whatever you decide to do, good luck, and let us know how it turns out!
