Hi so my '10 srt8 I bought has super 10 mufflers installed my the previous owner. But this douche with a ghettoed out rt charger is still a bit louder than mine (even though mine has a deeper tone). I was thinking of 3 different options:

A: resonator delete and leave the flowmaster mufflers.(I'm thinking it will be *almost as loud as the muff+reso delete but with a better tone?)

B: reso+muffler

C: just a muffler delete because I heard that a reso delete can leave an annoying drone?

Thoughts and comments? Pros and cons of each?

Is your car an auto or manual? The drone typically happens on the auto's but alot of that had to do with the MDS which yours doesnt have. The reso delete is a pretty good option on a budget. They sound decent with the stock exhaust and if you have aftermarket mufflers they will be even louder. Also I would not confuse louder with better. You can hack up an exhaust to make it louder, doesnt mean it runs better. You can cut everything off your exhaust and it will be loud as all get out but will be backfiring and smoking every where. Just something to think about.

Thanks for the reply, my srt is a manual and it has the exact same paint job and stripe as your's lol. So do you know if the reso delete will affect performance at all?

On both my 300C and my Challenger, my exhaust specialist asked me if I would rather spend a 100 bucks, or $1000+ to get the same sound. I said that sounds like a no brainer! He said if I don't like it, he'll install the Corsa I wanted. He cut out the center muffler and straight piped it leaving the two rear ones in place. The sound is awesome! Check out my videos on YouTube linked from this site and see for yourself.

Your going to have drone on all your options, glad you want it that way or you'd be sorry.

A)  Resonator delete with mufflers – Resonators are made to eliminate the frequencies which cause drone. Removing them will add volume and interior resonance.
B)  Reso + muffler delete – Lots of added volume. Lots of interior resonance. You’re straight piped after the cats.
C)  Muffler delete with resonators - Added volume, higher-pitched tone, lower levels of interior noise.

Hope this helped. You have a ton of directions that you could go and the options you choose are going to be based on what you hope to accomplish. Give us a call if you have any more questions at 707-544-4761. We're happy to help.
