Thanks for your offer to help, Andy. Since you appear to work at a dealership, perhaps you can share how many orders for Hellcats placed in Sep there still have no VIN.
Sure, we have two still in "BX" status from September. This means the order has been accepted and is available for scheduling.

Once your vehicle is scheduled to be built by the factory, then a VIN number will be applied to the vehicle.

It is all really down to allocation. I would ask your dealer how many vehicles they have allocated to them in December and where you are on the list.

We were lucky the first time round, we were allocated 8, this time round not so much, we were only allocated 2, I'm guessing for the two remaining vehicles we have on order.

We sold the 8 immediately, so we were hoping for a few more this time, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Hope this helps.

My "car" is also in BX status. Supposedly my dealer in Roanoke IL took deposits for 60 Hellcats. I've bought Vipers from him in the past with great success. He's been holding a decent deposit since July. He claims no VINs have been issued by SRT for Hellcats for about 5 weeks. Whether that's true or not, I can wait for a Hellcat. A long time. Long enough to get my deposit back, and wait for SRT to meet the demand now, and settle into a normal automotive purchase mode--one in which I either buy a car on a lot, or place an order for one that will be built expeditiously.

It will be incredibly difficult to move 60 of them anytime soon.

That was the reason we stopped taking orders on them, we didn't want to hold on to customer's money for long periods of time.

VIN's have been issued in the last five weeks, we recieved two VIN's at the end of November.

I'm hoping that the production lines get back to normal by mid 2015....FIngers Crossed.

Also, check with your dealer about any upgrade options you had added on. Mine was in limbo for a week before I went and talked to them again. Apparently the black'd out hood option was not going to be available til spring and it would be held without a VIN until then to be produced. I requested that my hood option be taken off and it then started being built. Picked mine up on the 24th of Nov as one of the first on the Texas streets. Love Love Love my girl Scarlett!

Pm me your Von and I'll see if there is a forecast for your vehicle
Hey Andy, I had the fourth car ordered at my dealership. They were allocated 3 the first round. I ordered the first week the banks opened and put down a 5k deposit. As long as my order matches what they are producing should my order be picked up next or can the dealership skip mine and order other cars and put mine on the back burner?

The short answer is yes, a dealer can prioritize other orders over yours. Unfortunately there are serious bidding wars going on with Hellcats at the moment, which isn't helping to stabilize the market. My personal opinion is that it is totally unethical.

Do you have a VON? If so, PM it to me and I can see if there is some sort of movement on it.

My best bit of advice for you (and any others experiencing the same worries), is to go to your deal and ask for a list of Hellcats in chronological order. Any legit dealer will show it to you in a second.

I am in that same situation.... ordered 9/9, VON #, sitting in BX since September.

Dealer has had some "Sold order" hellcats delivered, however, seems to be unable to pin down any information for ours. Of course, this is after being told in July that we are #1 on the list. lol

We can wait a little bit, but not forever...........

Also ordered, 9/9 and am still in BX. Was supposedly #1 on the list. Dealer told me he was allocated 3, 1 for the floor and 2 for customers. The dealership's car is stuck in a holding yard in New York. I recently changed my order from Sublime with Satin Hood to Jazz Blue without the hood.

Andy, do you mind if I send you my VON for a little more insight?

I also have a Von number with BX and i'm #2 in line to receive a Hellcat sine November 11th. But with allocations rumors and Dodge saying they will build all that are sold, I cant seem to find out anything from my dealer? I even called a SRT rep that I know and he couldn't tell me anything either. :4-dontknow:

Sublime Hellcat

I picked mine up last week. I first bought a 2009 Challenger RT, then a 2014 Challenger RT Sport, and now a 2015 SRT Hellcat. I am impressed with the luxury and the power of the 2015 model. They made all the right changes. Dodge out did themselves and they deserve a pat on the back.
