Wanna used Hellcat?

Hey, guys:

Just wanted to let y'all know there's a white Hellcat over at Allen Samuels DCJ in north Fort Worth with 800 miles on the odo. Thoughts from a salesman was the original owner figured it was too much car. As for price, they're asking *$83,480...the breakdown on the window sticker is $63K MSRP plus a $20K "market adjustment."

BTW, I've no skin in this game...heck, I tried to buy a couple of vehicles from 'em and ended up purchasing my '14 Charger R/T and '12 Ram 1500 from dealers outside the Metroplex!

Sounds like they are trying to make a bunch of money, I doubt it's a too much power issue. You can get a new Hellcat for MSRP if you look around, so really no reason to pay a market adjustment for a used car.

I already went through this market adjustment crap when the Challenger first came out, like I told all the dealerships then, they are making more everyday, so I'll just wait until the price comes down.
Welcome to the Z from FL. Lots of great info here. Enjoy !

That is now a Used Car. The value has gone down. Maybe 55k
Thanks, Tiki, and hey from a wet North Texas!

Yep, 70, that's what I'm thinking...I just wonder how long it's gonna sit in that showroom with that price on it! I'm also curious as to how many used Hellcats are even available and, if there are any, what they're going for.

Hi and a warm welcome to the forum.

I would not mind having that Hellcat here in Sweden now. Would be really exiting on the winter roads.....:str:
ANTOHER USED HELLCAT w/ BLACK HOOD!!!!

What surprised me about this one is that it has the Satin Black Hood option.
I thought those were not being produced yet?

Oddly, I didn't even notice the hood on the one I mentioned since it was up in the showroom!

They're crazy. You can get a brand new one for $58-65K at several dealers in my area. No markup or anything. $83K for a "used" Hellcat is just insane. Unless they find a total sucker, that car is going to sit there a long time with that price tag on it.

Agreed...when I first saw it on Thursday, my jaw dropped! Like others have already said, it's a used car! Granted, it's the coolest used car in this dealership's inventory, but it's still used.

I'd like to go back with a check for $63K and see if they'd take it! My thinking is they just need a halo car in the showroom 'cause they finally got rid of the Viper that had taken up temporary residence!

I'll head back over this Sunday (yep, the sales staff is there on Sundays, not Saturday) with the wife and see if the 'Cat is still there.

Aren't those properly priced Hellcats ordered for people and not actually for sale . I know if I was one of the many ( lucky bastards ) waiting on cars ordered months ago I'd not be best pleased if that wasn't the case . As for the 80k one what if your mega rich and want one tomorrow . I know if I was stupid rich I wouldn't be blowing x amount of dollars at the casino it's not my thing but fly in buy a hellcat and drive off who knows . There is already several for sale on eBay .
Just another example of dealers trying to rip off buyers who are blinded by the Hellcat power and newness. Takes a lot of nerve to ask for a 20k markup on a used car. They probably gave the first owner 50k to "take it off his hands."

Why anyone would buy a car with that color, for that price is beyond me.

WOW, that was kind of harsh...:158:
Especially for those of us who've ordered a Sublime Green Hellcat with the Black Satin hood and are still waiting for delivery.
Though I agree with you that I wouldn't want to buy a Hellcat with a huge mark-up, at least the color is not as bad looking as, say....
DARK TITANIUM!!!:gy:
^ Have to agree, Sublime Green is an awesome color!

Wow someone caught big feelings. And please be sure to post your slimer green Hellcat pics should you ever get it. BTW, you do realize the 2016s are coming out in just a few months right.
Well, gang, I talked to yet another salesman today about that Hellcat. This guy was saying how $83K is reasonable considering there aren't many in Dallas-Fort Worth to begin with and probably none used...I just shook my head in amazement at the pile of BS he was shoveling at my feet.

Still, someone took it for a test drive on Friday and the sticker was missing from the corner of the windshield, so he's thinking there's a pending deal on it. I said something to the effect of, well, the buyer must really be in love with it!

I'll probably get a little more dirt about it tomorrow, as I'm test-driving a '15 Charger R/T with the guy! Too bad it'll never replace my '14...that Dart front-end just doesn't work for me.

^ It's a color choice. Some people like Sublime Green Hellcats, others like Dart Titanium SXT's, that's why they make different trim levels and different colors. No reason to get riled up on a forum about it. It's all cool.

That's crazy man! Wonder if the guy actually bought it?

I didn't care for the new front ends at first either but they're growing on me. It definitely resembles the Dart front ends though.
Some even like man-genta ( pink :wow::4-dontknow: )

American Muscle, I LOVE that Ghostbusters reference: "Slimer" green! I'm thinking of getting that for my license plate! Thanks for the suggestion.

BTW, if/when I do get my Hellcat, I'll be sure to post some pics for your enjoyment.
