John, this surely must be an awful sore spot for you and many law enforcement officials who protect us and keep us safe. We only hear the stupid bad stories on the news. I think most Americans have respect for the police and are glad you guys are around!

Put the mad dogs out of their misery and save society.

John;

Are you sure that if we just had more "empathy" for those lost criminal
element souls, they would just stop and be more nice to us??

Unfortunately, it is clearly not REALITY...

For those who take the life of a law enforcement officer, it should be
without question the death penalty for the dirt bag. For it will be so
that this criminal will never ever be able to do this again....

There must be a cold reality deterrent to be clearly understood.

It's too bad that more people aren't offended by the true scumbags that are repeat DUI or felony offenders, as they are by a cop that may have just flat made a mistake, heaven forbid they be human. Unfortunately as with all professions there are some in law enforcement that don't belong, and they will eventually show their true colors.

We have lost 2, (a Sheriff in Sacramento and a Sheriff in Placer County) shot in the line of duty by the same idiot just a couple of months ago. http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/24/us/california-officers-shot/index.html

But to label all LE as bullies and racists is so very wrong.

When you are having the worst day of your life or just need help you can pick up the phone, call and they (LE, FF and EMS) will come. They do far more good than bad, and like our armed forces personnel, they put their lives on the line every day.

My friends............

................I remeber another time when law enforcement was the enemy of many. They were called "PIGS" and "THE MAN" and to those who held that line of thinking were most always stoned out of their minds. I recall a bumper sticker saying, "If you hate cops; next time you're in trouble, call a HIPPIE!"
We're at a crucial time in The United States. I see the need for an upheaval of law abiding people to rise up in righteous indignation. Until that happens, law enforcement is going to become a least favored and sought after career.
I have a niece who is a Sgt. on a county law enforcement agency. She's had to work twice as hard and be three times tougher to survive. I'm happy to say now, she's in a less dangerous assignment. That is, until hell breaks loose.
Keep on CHALLENGING!

My wife and I talk about these issues quite a lot, here a couple of the issues that bother us:

1. The media focus on the "supposed" victim(s) that are running around on drugs charging police officers with guns, swords, guns and vehicles. Instead of covering the real stories, which are the shootings and retaliatory acts against the police officers.

2. The semi-political people that show up at every opportunity to get themselves noticed by the media. They never consider the police force and the danger they put themselves into on a day to day basis. These people focus on negative stereotypes that no longer exist in an attempt to place pressure and win favor. They will however will be the first ones to run to the police for protection when they need it.

3. Stop running around with knives, swords and guns in public. You think you are big daddy mac, instead you are just another criminal that inflicts pain on others and ultimately lands in jail or dead.

4. When a police officer says stop, its best that you stop. They practice at a gun range weekly and are proficient in many different weapons. Who do you think is going to win that battle?

Just my opinion but It really pisses me off when People act like idiots and then every POS and their mothers come to their defense when they get what has long been coming to them. The part of the video that had the guys fighting the cops is exactly what happened in Ferguson, but because there was no video the cop is crucified for defending himself. A lot of the cops in those videos would have most likely been in the same situation as the cop in Ferguson if not for those videos. And sadly even then were probably put through the ringer.

It also pisses me off when cops are always pulling over cars for minor infractions just to raise money for their towns. There is one local area specifically, which is a very well known Trap area for many years and one of the owners of the company I work for has been given a ticket for going one mile over speed limit. He was furious. And I'm sure that there are other forms of abuse from some corrupt groups and individuals, But I always suggest that people imagine a society without any law enforcement? It would go to shit faster that you can drive your badass car!
:3-smash:

See what I did there? Brought all my ranting back to our cars! LOL
