I also went with the JBA's and OEM gasket along with Stage 8's. One year in and have had NO issues. I had mine installed as I know my limitations.....

I also remember having lots of issues with header bolts when my Camaro had headers - not fun.

Do the jba have the D ports that match the heads? How much?

If you look at the first pic I posted,they are bolts with anti-backout clips to prevent the header bolts from coming loose. On after market headers,the bolts have a tendency to loosen up causing exhaust leaks,and should be checked from time to time to make sure they are tight,stage 8 locking fasteners prevent this and ends the headache of getting under the car every mouth to check header bolts. I've had to deal with header bolts for 40 yrs, seen my share of loose bolts and exhaust leaks. Stage 8 locking fasteners have made my life loose header bolts worry free. IMO only.

Did u notice any difference with the shortys? Some say they noticed nothing at all performance wise.

I think the JBA's are the same price and yes they have the D shaped ports. I have not put my car on a dyno, but the butt dyno and G-Force seat pin tells me there is more in the performance arena!

I checked Summitracing.com and the JBA Headers Cat4ward Headers 1964S-1JS ARE $30.00 dollars cheaper than the Flowmasters. Which brand you choose is your choice both are good,but get OEM gaskets and the stage 8 fasteners.

I checked Summitracing.com and the JBA Headers Cat4ward Headers 1964S-1JS ARE $30.00 dollars cheaper than the Flowmasters. Which brand you choose is your choice both are good,but get OEM gaskets and the stage 8 fasteners.

I was looking at the jba cat4ward part number 1965sjs on auto anything for like 455.00 what's the difference between these 2 part numbers??

Those are the Stainless steel ones at Auto Anything for that price,Stainless steel will change color,rust,and don't have the thermo effect of containing the heat like the Silver Ceramic Coated ones do and the Silver Ceramic Coated ones don't change color or rust. The Silver Ceramic Coated headers at Auto Anything price is $606.99, Part #: 1964S-1JS. The Flowmaster Headers I have are Silver Ceramic Coated, IMO if you get the JBA's get the Silver Ceramic Coated ones, you'll be happier in the long run.

Ok might have misread but your right they are 606.00 but they have 25% off sale. I'm pretty sure I was looking at the ceramic.

I have the Flowmaster Scavenger Series Elite Headers part #FLO-814321 with Stage 8 locking fasteners and OEM gaskets. These have the D shaped ports to match the Hemi heads, quality and finish is very good. Summitracing.com is where I got mine. The bolts that connect the exhaust to header that came with the headers should be replaced with harder bolts,I did this to prevent soft metal bolts from braking. And use anti-seize on all bolts. One stock bolt will be used to hold the Dip-stick in place.

They are shorties, and part # FLO-8I4321 fits the 5.7L. You can contact Summitracing .com or call them at 1-800-230-3030 for inflo on if they match your mid pipes.

You can also contact flowmastermufflers.com or call them at 1-707-544-4761. And on a side note the shorties I have ,have a 2.50 stock flange outlet,I'm not sure of the outlet flange size is on the 6.1L and all Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust systems are developed and manufactured only in the USA.
