No room in the garage and too windy to use the cover. Can't wait until I move in a couple years and get a shop big enough for all my toys!Ummmmm..........how the heck did that happen?

Without a battery tender that's about right. I think I am going to put one on mine. It sits allot when the weather is bad.Walked out to the garage a while ago, needed to put the new insurance card in the Challenger, nope! Key fobs not working, battery dead as a door nail! Hooked the cables up to the Ram, got the trunk open and pulled the battery. I will pick one up tomorrow, that is the original battery 6 years old.
I keep a tender on it alternating the side by side and the car, tender started acting funny hooked up to the car, I should have taken a second look at it then.Without a battery tender that's about right. I think I am going to put one on mine. It sits allot when the weather is bad.
It's an easy decision.......Without a battery tender that's about right. I think I am going to put one on mine. It sits allot when the weather is bad.
Good for you. I replaced mine last year..........after seven years of use.Went ahead and ordered a set of trunk struts... Mine were still good but not on a windy day... 👍
You will be happy when you get them installed.Went ahead and ordered a set of trunk struts... Mine were still good but not on a windy day... 👍
Are you sure you got the correct strut compression? It shouldn't be that violent and could warp your trunk lid.Since I replaced mine I got to remember when opening step back now that sucker flies open and very stiff to close it. I could of gotten away with just the one replaced truthfully.

I had the same thing happen on my F150 hard bed cover. After replacing the 20 yo struts, I could barely close the cover. Found out they gave me struts for a Dodge 1 ton truck. They had twice the rated compression of the originals. Had to return them and order the correct ones online. All good then.
Those are for cars with the weight of a spoiler on the trunk lid. Yours doesn't have a spoiler does it? When we put a Trans Am spoiler on my wife's Firehawk, it needed stronger struts to compensate.![]()
