Today, I swept it out, cleaned the interior and put protectant on the vinyl and cleaner/protectant on the leather.

Swapped the PCV Valve for a new one, the Whipple uses a 6.1L oem one. Old one did not rattle as easily as the new one. 15/16" socket required to beak it loose, installed finger tight, Just FYI.

Went out about 7:30 this morning and washed the Scat. Beautiful cool morning, no wind. Did a few extra things, tire shine, vacuumed it well, wiped down the interior, and extra cleaning on the wheels. Going to Colorado tomorrow and meet up with my brother. We are putting flowers out early for Memorial Day on my parents grave.
Should be a beautiful day to drive down. About a 400 mile round trip.

Makes me wish I lived closer to my parents resting place. 2400 miles round trip for me. We have a local florist put stargazers near mom's on her birthday (she loved them) and dad was always happy to see mom smile when she got them. Would be real nice to put them there myself. Have a safe trip.

Hate when that happens... happened to us for the Red Carpet Corridor Cruise weekend. Luckily it quit raining after a couple hours. Hopefully it's a fast moving rain event and gets out of "Dodge" fast!

Emptied my OCC after 3,900 miles........had about a half a canister full. Cleaned all the hoses, bracket and other areas nearby.

And, loving my new neighborhood. I get much better background pictures.

My wife and I drove over to Pontiac, IL for a late lunch and also to take a peak at the newly revised group of cars in the Pontiac-Oakland Automobile Museum next door to DeLongs where we had lunch. The highlight for the first summer season in the museum is a special factory assembled 1970 Ram Air IV with V.O.E (vacuum operated exhaust) and 4-speed. It was a Pontiac Motor Division pilot (pre-production) car and it was featured in a famous Pontiac Motor Division TV commercial, in the GM stockholders book and many magazines in late '69 that were featuring the new 1970 models. It will be on display through mid summer. Here's a video of that TV commercial and then some photos below that...
