Today, I swept it out, cleaned the interior and put protectant on the vinyl and cleaner/protectant on the leather.

Had a great trip to Colorado yesterday. My brother and I met up at a close friend's house in Sterling, CO. We all had lunch together, then went to put flowers on our parent's grave. After a little more visiting, we left Sterling and traveled to Iliff, CO, where I grew up on a small farm in NE Colorado. It was of course emotional for me to go out to the farm. I haven't been out there for 15-20 years. We are fortunate that our old neighbor now lives there, and his daughter and husband are raising their family in our home. The house looks great!
They put stucco on the house and it looks great for being built in 1957 by my Dad, uncles and my grandpa!
The one thing that is still original in the pipe railing on the front step. I love that they didn't get rid of it!!! There are two old grain buildings that are still there from my childhood and an old corn crib!
Here are a few pics:

My brother and our good friend Illene in Sterling, before we went out to lunch.

My brother and I posed in front of the house with the pipe railing! The dogs were very friendly, and didn't want to stay out of the picture!

In the background on the right, you can see the old corn crib! I don't ever remember that being full of ear corn, it is tall!

That railing was actually quite symbolic...family and railings serve the same purpose to a certain extent. Sometimes our walk through life hits unsteady paths, your family, like railings, are there to help give us a step-up and steady us so we can continue on. Simple things are often the most powerful, and the family pictures above "frame" that perfectly. Thanks for sharing Betty!

Thank you! The forum was very glitchy this morning and I couldn't get these two pics to post in my original post. So here is a trip back in time to that railing, and another pic
from yesterday! I loved skating on that sidewalk! My brother and I are the surviving members of the family.

I am the little girl in front with the saddle shoes, and it was probably about 1958.

That's what I thought. You still have that cute smile! That's about the year I was born (1959). Sure miss those times. When life was simpler and a little slower.
Great pic Betty. Thanks so much for posting! ;)

Here are the last photos of the Pontiac-Oakland Automobile Museum. The forums is struggling with uploads for some reason, had to give it up last night.
Saw some this morning...not the turnout I'd planned, but respectable since there were a couple of regular shows in Kanakakee and northward. Stay tuned a manageable selection of photos showing the best I saw.

I drove mine today, had to drop off something at the daughters house so I took the scenic route. She is about 10 miles away but somehow it took me 50 miles round trip.
