I just traded my 2012 R/T for a 2014 SRT8 . (Cant belive the difference in power).Anyway what would happen if I took those tire pressure sensors off my valve stems and put my own valve stem caps on ? Thanks . BooBoo

If you take the sensor off you will get a light on the dash and it will remain lit, the caps you can replace.Congrats on the upgrade.

If you decide to just change out the caps be careful you don't set yourself up for dissimilar metals between the cap and stem. Had that happen on the Wife's Bimmer and we had to get her stems changed out because the caps bonded to the stems. Enjoy the Journey! Lou.

I got new caps for my car right after I got it, they say HEMI on them. They are fine, no problems at all. As Lou says, make sure you have no problems with the metal. I got mine from Summit, Hot Rod Catalog.

My caps are just regular plastic caps with a red anodized cover on them ,,,,,AutoZone for about 5 bucks .
I wouldn't expect those to cause any problems. Check them frequently at first, but they sound fine.
