Either silver or black wheels would look good on Octane Red, depends on what you like best. I prefer the devils rims over that pictured style, so I would probably just repaint my current wheels. That's probably not what you wanted to hear though.
There are a lot of great options out there. I agree as well about the dark wheels. Well I do now, I’ve had my car for 7 years, black wheels, I just recently painted them. I don’t like them that much still! I’m getting some new wheels soon which will be lighter. The pattern of my wheels didn’t look great lighter after painting, but the options are a plenty.
