I just bought a 2017 Challenger T/A 392 last Thursday and I love everything about it, with one exception. The so called "Alpine Premium Sound System". The sound is very tinny and there is very little bass at all, even with the EQ cranked up all the way. I get way better bass sound from my ford explorer with a cheap little Pioneer head unit and sony speakers I picked up at Walmart. The salesman who went with me on the test drive was giving me details about the car and said that it had the upgraded Alpine system with Subwoofers, but unless they are 2" subs, I'm not buying that it has any at all.

Is there like some hidden "bass boost" button or feature hidden somewhere that I'm just not finding?

I have no problems with mine. But I don't want to rattle anybody's teeth, either.

We have two Challengers and no problem with the bass. My wife actually had me back in down in her Challenger.

This time I shelled out the extra coin when I ordered the T/A and got the HK premium sound. Night and day difference over the Alpine system I ordered in my SPS. The HK system is as much a thrill as the active exhaust. Although I don't play music very loud in my Scat Pack. I enjoy listening to the active exhaust as I am aggressively rowing gears.

I think that a ''patch'' is available at the dealer ,i read it somewhere but not sure where exactly. Might worth a call to your local Dodge . Not 100% sure but ...

What he said! The HK with the dual 10"s in the trunk is awesome! So clear and loud.

    Ditto on the Alpine disappointment.
