If someone was going to steel a car and knew it was likely to have a kill switch somewhere, how difficult would it be to be prepared with a jumper. Asking because IDK and don't have time at the moment to study electrical diagrams. Not bashing the kill switch idea but thieves often are prepared to defeat security.

I think a kill switch is a good idea. Time is what may be on your side. The time it takes to defeat a system may be too much for a potential thief.

I've installed this.
Things I like about it:
No need to hack into your wires
Remote start still works
Its a 2x switch and can be hidden in some very hard places to find

I also had the RF hub lockout done with 0 issues so far.
Neutral pull cover installed
Store keys in a faraday bag

If someone really wants it they will find a way but the harder you make it hopefully they give up and move on to something easier.

A kill switch won't stop someone from pulling the neutral safety strap and pushing the car onto a flatbed. This is how most are being stolen now. They'll have plenty of time to figure out the kill switch. In other words, there isn't one anti-theft device that's a cure-all.
I have the kill switch (Ravelco), clutch pedal lock, steering wheel lock, wheel lock, locking wheel lugs, GPS tracker, park in a garage, and I surround my Hellcat with garden rakes lying on the floor, prongs up, and I scatter marbles all over the garage floor.

That's right, I'm using layered security mixed with Home Alone!

Just to stay with the theme, I would scatter matchbox/hotwheels camaros, corvettes and mustangs on the floor. Maybe even a few EVs.

By my count that's a 7-layer cake, although I would add Legos on the floor in case the thief is barefoot.

Car Cat Creations Dual Switch & Security Box was one of my first mods, + Neutral Pull Cover, + Apple Air Tags, + Car Cover, + the Kitty is blocked in by other cars, + insurance.
If they steal it I'll just get a better Kitty :)
