I am still pinching myself, maybe I dreamed this weather today. I knew it was going to be warm, but when it hit 60 by 9:00 a.m on January 27th, I thought I died and went to heaven. The high today was 72 degrees!! No coats!!!!!!
I needed some computer training today, so I went up to Rapid City. What a great drive. The snow is completely gone up there, as you will see.
After the computer class, I took a drive up to Sturgis. I stopped at the Black Hills National Cemetery and took this shot:

I am going to add a few more in another post, this new computer has presented some interesting challenges to my old image browser!

There were motorcycles all around town, everyone was having a great time today, including me! I took a few pictures from the car of the cycles on the street and then some cool new Indian Motorcycles!

Wow, Betty! I'm so glad you're able to be out and about with JZBLBBY! Looks like its beautiful weather out there. Hit the gas pedal good for us over here on the right coast. It's freezing and wind is howling, drifting snow!

I saw a red Challenger parked on the street in Sturgis, so I stopped and talked to the owner, he was also enjoying the great weather. Just so you guys don't think I am making up this January weather, I took a picture of this guy in a t-shirt putting gas in his motorcycle. I then headed back to Rapid City, as I was driving through town, I spied this cool old buick. You will notice the Statue of Liberty in the background, I think she moved here from New York today!!

Wow great shots incredible weather can't wait for that to come back. From what I'm reading I'm expecting our snow pack to remain trough February.

Thanks Jay! That is so much snow you had! We had about 10 inches at the end of December and it is pretty much all melted this week. Rapid City didn't get as much as we did, so you can see by the pictures---no snow! Oh my, how could I forget these two pics?? I stopped at the Easy Rider Saloon, but since it isn't Sturgis Rally week, a little slow. If you guys had all been here, we could have had a great time! I love their sign with the fire that looks and moves like real fire.

Thank you everyone for the nice words. I mentioned to someone else that I wish I was in the Groundhog Day movie, so I could wake up this morning and do it all over again! After today, we will have more seasonal temps.
I wasn't very nice yesterday, but I just couldn't help myself. That little devil that sits on your shoulder kept telling me to do it. Before heading home, I went out to the Chevy dealer's new dealership lot/buildings. Instead of just driving by, I drove in with the windows down, and waved at all the salesmen standing out in the lots. They didn't act to excited to see me. I got some half hearted waves, and a few sober looks! Was that ever fun. Shame on me.:daz::daz::daz:

Of course the salesmen was kind of low, the knew they was selling the wrong brand. If they was selling Dodge they would get a bigger bonus!

Great post - Nice job as always Betty. Hard to believe the temps. We were warm and dry but our streets are coated with salt and LOTS of sharp gravel. If they even think it will snow the trucks are out in full force. It doesn't get cleaned off until a very heavy rain or the street sweepers show up in the spring to we keep it short.
