Guaranteed this loser is unemployed, spends his day playing Call of Duty with eight year-olds, and is acting out his online character. If he was just an ordinary loser trying to scam freebies, there is no way he would choose to present himself as a Ranger, SEAL, Delta, AFSOC, Green Beret, et al.

I watched the whole thing and, what a total idiot!

I have called out someone, in public, that was claiming to be a Marine. Specifically a Marine Helicopter crew chief with combat wings, a Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) and a Combat Action Ribbon (CAR). I thought to myself this is in my wheel house. The kid was young, about 22 and he was claiming to be a Gunnery Sergeant, that was the first strike. The second strike came when I asked what aircraft he was a crew chief on, he said a CH-53E Pave Lowe, no such a thing in the Marine Corps. The third strike came in two parts. I asked what squadron he was in and he said HMH-466, and where was he stationed New River. 466 is a real squadron and it has never been stationed at New River it has always been a west coast unit in Tustin/Santa Anna or Miramar. The second part was his Distinguished Flying Cross and Combat Action Ribbon. He stated the DFC was awarded to him in Desert Storm and his Combat Aircrew Wings were awarded in Desert Storm also. I told him that NO Marine Corps Enlisted aircrew were awarded a DFC in Desert Storm. Asked about his Combat Action Ribbon he said he got Combat wings and when you get them you automatically get a CAR. You don't get a CAR automatically with Combat Aircrew Wings, a CAR like the Combat Wings is an individual award and the CAR is not awarded automatically when you get combat wings. He asked why I was asking all the questions and I said I am a Marine Corps Veteran of Desert Storm and was a 6174 which is a UH-1N Crew Chief with Combat Aircrew Wings and he was in fact BS'ing everyone and he should leave before I called the FBI. He left, really fast.

I watched that video today and it made me angry too! I can't believe someone would actually claim to be in or to have served in the military that has not earned that right! I guess it happens more than I thought and didn't know they had passed a law making it a Federal offense in 2013 until seeing that story. I hope they fry his a$$.

My father-in-law fought in WWII (CL-65), My grandfather was in the Navy, my father was in the Air Force, my son-in-law is currently serving in the Army. I have never been in the Armed Forces, but I fully support those who have served and are currently serving.

Thank you to ALL who have served or are currently serving! It can never be said enough.

Wow, what a douche that guy is. As mentioned, he probably lives at his mom's house, collects SSI for a "bad back" and plays Call of Duty all day.

Hey Fed's, where are you?!

This maggot should be arrested immediately (take pictures of them) and prosecuted to the full extent of the law!!

Note that what he did and could still be doing is a Federal Crime now.

Stolen Valor Act of 2013 signed into law
The American Legion - June 4, 2013

On June 3, President Barack Obama signed into law The American Legion-backed Stolen Valor Act of 2013, which now makes it a "federal crime for an individual to fraudulently hold oneself out to be a recipient of any of several specified military decorations or medals with the intent to obtain money, property, or other tangible benefit."

The U.S. Supreme Court overturned the original Stolen Valor Act of 2005, deeming it unconstitutional because it was, in the justices’ opinion, too broad in scope and violated the right of free speech. The Legion passed Resolution 283 during its 2012 National Convention, calling on Congress to amend the Stolen Valor Act of 2005, to provide that the elements of fraud be incorporated into previous Stolen Valor legislation. U.S. Rep. Joe Heck, R-Nev., and the Legion worked together to draft a new Stolen Valor Act that included this legal language in effort to meet the Supreme Court’s objections to the old Stolen Valor Act.

On Jan. 15, 2013, Heck introduced H.R.258, the Stolen Valor Act of 2013. The bill also criminalized the act of lying to gain unearned veterans health-care benefits or other rewards, such as employment reserved for veterans. And on May 20, the House of Representatives passed Heck’s bill by a vote of 390 to 3. Legion Commander James E. Koutz praised the overwhelming, bipartisan vote.

"The American Legion is impressed with Congress today," he said. "Those who deliberately lie about military service, wear medals they did not earn or make claims of combat heroism they did not achieve are more than just liars. They are perpetrators of the worst kind of fraud. Their lies are an insult to all who have truly stood in harm’s way and earned their decorations. We raised this issue at our national convention, and the House acted."

On May 22, the Senate passed the legislation by unanimous consent. Senators Dean Heller, R-Nev., and Jon Tester, D-Mont., introduced the Senate companion bill (S. 210).

Both Heck and Heller rejoiced at the president’s signature. "I’m pleased that the valor and integrity of our military awards, along with the men and women who have earned them, are once again protected by law," Heck said. "It has been an incredibly rewarding process, and I thank all of those who have helped along the way in making this bill a law."

"I’m pleased that President Obama signed the Stolen Valor Act into law," Heller said. "The brave acts of the men and women in our military should be honored and protected. Thanks to the hard work of Rep. Heck and those who joined us in support of this issue, the recognition that these men and women earned will be preserved."

Yes, but really, does Pres."O" enforce any laws that does not put him in the limelight or give him any political advantage? :i_rolleyes:

Being a Marine I know some of the Army awards but not all. On the Combat Infantry Badge, you get the badge first, then stars after that correct? It is my understanding there have been a few with two stars and even fewer with three?
It's the same with the Marine Corps Combat Action Ribbon, it started in the late 60's but was retroactive to 1941. You only get it for a campaign and you have to be directly involved in combat on land or sea not air. Get or return fire to the enemy. It is an award so it is awarded individually and not like a unit award. A campaign being i.e., Desert Storm, then you would get a star for Iraq. But you cannot get two awards one for Iraq and one for Afghanistan. The strange thing is if you were prior service Army and have the CIB you cannot wear it on the Marine Corps Uniform, you would be awarded/revert to the Combat Action Ribbon.

People that do this must get their rocks off doing it. I wore the uniform for 15 years and the last thing I want to do is wear camouflage, unless it's for duck, deer, or rabbit hunting. We were never allowed to leave the vehicle while off base in our utilities unless it was an emergency.

When me and my guys see someone wearing anything ranger and isn't one, they either take it off or eat teeth NO MATTER WHAT! This is disgusting! This fat piece of shit deserves to run into me! First clue is that he is fat, you may have a tab and be fat but never a scroll! No scroll bearer is fat, ever! Sorry I'm so mad, I just have given so much to earn that scroll. Man that ruined my night.

benparker1968 dont let that scum mess up your night, you guys earn the right to wear that tab/scroll he didn't. I hate to see that type of stuff. even if you going to say you was in the army do that he might've passed as regular army with his size, not the elite groups. once I saw him I knew no way he's a ranger. Dude needs to go do a 10 mile run bet he cant do 1 mile. I hope he and others like him get caught, I run and work out so when I put my uniform on I repersent the USA and look good.
