Hi all! Thanks for taking the time. I love the cold start sound and volume on my ‘22 5.7/A8 T/A and I’m wondering if I install the Z Automotive kit will I always have that sound as if valves are wide opened. I do hear a difference in the sound between a 5.7 and 6.4 so would appreciate first hand experience with a 5.7 setup like mine.
Also, I don’t know if with a cold start all eight are working and then switch to 4 after warmed up. If that’s the case then I would expect a volume drop?

It is supposed to trick the system into thinking the Active Exhaust is operating normally but the valves are always open, and there is no check engine light. The MDS feature on the automatic will still be operational, but Sport Mode disables the MDS, as does pulling the auto stick towards you into manual while cruising.

IMO it looks like the smartest solution yet to the Active Exhaust and keeps your stock parts in place in case you need to convert it back. Ry

While I have the 392, I disliked how the valves would close and ruin the cold start sound. I installed the Z Auto modules and couldn't be happier.

I have the Valves on mine welded open, I have a 6.2L/6.4L oem cat back on a 2015 R/T. I love the sound, start, cruising and WOT.

I have a T/A 345 A8 and my active exhaust is always open (done by a speed shop). When I startup, I get that high idle than slows down to that lopey sound.

Yes, I didn't get any codes when I installed them. And the valves stay open all the time.

End of season I had a code come on for the exhaust valves and didn't do anything yet.
