Just a heads up for those considering these tires. Replaced the stock 245s and I went with 265/40/R20 Good-Year Eagle Sports for
my 5.7 on all 4 corners. Main concern was clearance in the front below the upper arm control / bolt. I have about 3/4" clearance below that bolt with new tires. Regarding tire width, the max tire suggested size is 255s for an 8" rim. But I stretched it to the 265s (10mm or approx. 3/8" of an inch difference). Looks great and no noticeable sidewall bulge. Didn't want to risk 275s up front and don't think spacers would have helped clearance without tires being pushed too far out to far from the fender. Also didn't want to go to fat on 8" rims. I love the rims and don't want to replace. Just wish they were wider.

ps ... they still don't hook. lol

Hope this helps someone ;)

Great feedback from all. You all have done your homework.

This car is my weekend car. I’m just a 60 year old dude that wanted wider tires. This car will never see the track and I’m pretty conservative on the roads only occasionally opening it up.

But you all provided a cautionary tale for those who may be considering my setup for high performance spirited driving.

Ps the wider tires do feel like they handle the corners better than the 245s.

Cheers.
