Very nice upgrade. I think these look so much better than the stock rear lighting.

Has to be my favorite tail light upgrade that I have seen thus far.

It looks like there is bleed over between the housings? or around the outside of the overlays? This is what has been keeping me from doing this as I love the look. Im just worried about the bleed. Maybe can do something preinstall to cover the outer lenses? I have never been a fan of our width of the car tail lights. Also do you have to take the stock "Dodge" letters off the center of the tail assembly? I know this post was a while ago, but maybe someone who has these can chime in.

There is a slight bit of light leak at certain angles. I am a bit unhappy with the fit of the covers to be honest. But I don't show my car, so I can live with it for now. I may take it into a custom place to see if they can adjust the fit. I just love the overall look. Yes, you do need to remove the DODGE lettering. I have seen people reuse the letters where I put the script. (Which I need to straighten)

I have been thinking of doing this for a while. But i am thinking about taping her off and plasti dipping the lenses where the "bleed over" looks to be coming from. Will doing this cause any problems with the install? Will i be putting 3m tape on the plasti dip if I do that? I dont want to adhere the covers to the plasti dip. If you can get what I'm asking there.

Yep, unfortunately, even though these were re-designed quite a few times, they have never, ever fit perfect. It's just something you have to deal with. It bothered me too for a long time but there's really nothing you can do about it. I got mine from Steve White and they suggested putting extra 3M tape on the bottom for better adhesion, which worked, BUT it also made the fitment that much worse because of the extra tape. You can't win.

As far as the bleed though, mine had light leak mainly across the top. I plasti-dipped around the top to fix this and it took care of the light leak. Been fine for about a year. The smart thing to do would have been to do this before you put the overlays on, but i'm not that smart

I just ordered a new set from Mancini Racing. The set I ordered a few years ago was made by a different manufacturer and they were plastic injection molded. The fit is bad. I was told these new ones are OEM and fiberglass with a much better fit. I will say I’m not happy with Mancinis communication. I asked for them to tell me how much shipping would be before shipping them and they went ahead and charged me without replying to me. I never got a tracking number. When I called, they still didn’t give me a tracking number and told me they were being drop shipped and i should receive them in a week. A week later I called again and I was told they were out of them and the manufacturer was out of them too but they were making more and I should have them in a week. It’s now two weeks later and Im still waiting with no reply to my email. I’ll call again tomorrow.
