Just in case you don't already know, the Scat Pack is a version of the R/T with the SRT power train, with upgraded suspension and brakes. So it is a R/T car.
In addition, the badging can get confusing. On the SRT 392, it says "392 Hemi" on the fender. On the Scat Pack, it has the SuperBee emblem with 6.4 L below it on the fender, UNLESS you have a shaker car. The Scat Pack Shaker has "392 Hemi" on the shaker and just the SuperBee emblem without the 6.4 L under it on the fender. So they use the cu. in. and liter displacement call outs, and in different ways and places depending on the car. Confused yet?

 

I wish Dodge would stick to cubic inches and get rid of the liters.

 

I told him that is for all the Camaro and Mustang owners out there that wants to jump out on these poor RT 5.7L.

 

Just picked up my new 2016 B5 Blue Scat Pack Shaker the other day. Has anyone else noticed that the Super Bee emblems on the front fenders are odd? On one side the bee faces forward and the other side it faces backward. Why would Dodge do that? Would it cost that much more to mold them so they both faced forward?

 

Yep, I didn't really realize it until after I installed my vinyl stripes. The bees in my stripes both face Howard conflicting with the emblems on one side so I debadged the car.

I ordered a set of 392 Hemi emblems in B5 to match from American Brother Design to replace the factory badges. Just waiting on warmer weather to install.

And yes, it gets confusing with all the badging variations dodge has on these cars.

The backwards bee drives me crazy. Picked up on that right away.

Although to clarify the sxat pack bee is different than the superbee.

I don't have liters on mine. Just the bee on the fender and 392 HEMI on the shaker

 

eBay has some replacement 'Bees" that look good. One right hand and one left hand. From China, so I'm not sure what they are like. Maybe somebody could order a set and let everyone else know if they are worth it or not.

 

As a note, I've found that spraying the cheap badges with clear lacquer helps them live a longer life. I did this on the Hurst emblems and my sxt 6 rear badge.

Thanks for the nice illustration of that. Few people realize that there is a difference. Was educated on that at Carlisle, PA car show in July. Shouldn't put a superbee on a scat pack.

 

Seen it done too often. I even saw a new Challenger at a dealer with a superbee sticker on the rear sides of the scat pack stripe.

 

Ok so. To keep myself from being confused, does that front RT grill badge just unsnap from the grill?

 

On pre 2015s yes. On post 2015s there is a nut that holds the badge on. Here is a video you may find helpful.

I actually used a dremel and drilled out the mounting stems thru the front of the badge until I was able to push them off the back. It seemed to take too much force to break them off. I was able to retrieve the stems with a telescoping magnet thru the lower grill.
