Hello, I am trying to swap my 2010 dodge challenger 3.5 v6 engine to v8 hemi engine. This is my first car and shes got me through everything. I've always wanted a faster model but i didn't want to go through a dealership and swapping cars. I'm trying to make a list of parts I will need to accomplish this dream I have. Does anyone have any advise, anything will help?

Save the grief of modifying things in a Non Hemi Car to a Hemi Swap. If you had the 3.6 it would be easier for a basic 5.7 but still a PITA.
When you do the swaps also things go south fast no matter even in the old days non Computer Harness, PCM, BCM, TCM etc., it was never a
shock to have to fabricate things and some of them dont last. Do get how much you love the car but it's not going to be as pleasant as just getting
an upper level or newer Challenger. Your gonna run into Cooling Issues, Transmission Issues, PCM / BCM issues, Suspension Upgrades and Brakes
even to an R/T a Dual Caliper Upgrade on Front at least for safety and reliability.

Heck one guy even did an LS swap into a former 3.5 Challenger S/E but still a lot of modding.

Source an Engine out of a Challenger, a Cooling System for the Hemi, a PCM/BCM need to be matched the Wiring Harness will be missing several needed
connectors and mapping for the Hemi Sensors. Fuel System, and even a 5 speed Trans and Drive Shaft the rear End Gears are too low. This is just being straight up
no Donor Car and then 2 other things to consider, getting the new PCM for Hemi and BCM , Cluster programmed for the Mileage of the car. Next if that gets into an
accident Insurance Company's can be very finky on a v6 car swapped to a v8.

Not just a drop in job by any means and couple of weekends easy to get in over your head in labor, parts, and time to make it all work.

Even though your not talking about a Hellcat Hemi this says it all...

it is sad, but on the other hand with all the safety equipment and the level of technology, it is a good thing that it isn't as easy anymore. best bet, find a v8 car, use the v6 as a down payment. or, build up your v6, there a couple of members who have built up their sxt's. be different, be yourself!!!
