Took a beautiful drive to Spearfish Canyon in the northern Hills yesterday. Fall colors are good and I haven't been there in a few years.

First of all, I drove up to Spearfish Canyon in the cool of the early morning so minimal bugs on the way up. I did have to clean the front end for a few of them and wash the windshield.
I carry an ice cream bucket full of water with me. I first soak a microfiber towel with water and just soak down the front end, while also spraying with Meguiars Waterless Wash spray. It cleans up nicely, not that hard. Of course I also wash the windshield. I dust the car off, and just make sure it is nice and clean. The great thing about driving in the Black Hills is that you never get any bugs
on your car!! You are driving slower speeds, and the altitude must not be something that the bugs are crazy about!

Beautiful pictures. We visited that area this summer and it was so much fun. We did Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Rapid City, Badlands, Wall Drug, Deadwood then drove thru Wyoming to Cheyenne back down to Denver to visit family. That area of the country is amazing, so different than here in Massachusetts. Thanks for posting! Love your plum crazy SP!
