Loose Steering Wheel Feel and Play

So heres the deal. I installed long tube headers on my challenger RT and in the process i removed the intermediate steering shaft to make more room to work on the drivers side and make the job a little eaiser than the already momumental task is. When i removed it i marked the shaft so it would line back up and took precaution to make sure the steering would feel just as tight and precise after the install as it was before. After I installed the headers i reinstalled the intermediate steering shaft as it is called on the web and by mopar. I got it all in a buttoned up and i noticed the steering wheel had a little play in it that it didnt have before the header install. I thought maybe an alingment would fix it and it has not. So any ideas on how to get the tightness back into the steering? I thought maybe i did not pull the upper sliver colored shaft back down far enough when reassembling so thats my next move. Is this something i can fix? Or is this a shop or dealership matter?
Pics off the internet of the intermediate steering shaft will be attached so yall know what im talking about hahaha.

Since apparently the steering was ok before you disassembled the steering to install the new headers it is something you did during reassembly so you should be able to fix it by going back in and figuring out what you did and correcting it.

However, if you have any doubts about your capabilities in this area since steering is an obvious safety critical system you should turn this over to a tech.
