here is how i carry my hand gun in my challenger. i have a state issued conclealed carry permit
I thought I was pretty clear in what I wrote but since you got on your 2nd amendment soap box, I will clarify. The irresponsible comment is regarding the fixed pistol position strapped to the console, like it is OK for all to do across the country, which it is not. I am all for the 2nd amendment, where I live we have open carry now, and I also have a CWP.Here it is perfectly legal to carry a loaded ar15 pistol on the front passenger seat with a 50 round mag if one wishes and if the situation dictated i thought it might be necessary i certainly would.
Nothing terry did is irresponsible, the 2nd amendment gives us rights and many states allow either open or concealed carry, whether you agree or disagree is irreverent, laws be laws for a reason and if you are following the laws of your state you don't really have to give a hoot about other more liberal states who's laws are more strict allowing criminals to run rampant. unless of course you are crossing into them on a road trip.
Sorry lost you at irresponsible, you seem to be inferring a lot of things.I thought I was pretty clear in what I wrote but since you got on your 2nd amendment soap box, I will clarify. Even though you can ride down the road in my state, with your pistol holstered just the same as the LEOs do, you still have to have sense about dealing with a LEO if you are stopped. The 2nd amendment covers the law abiding citizen so there is a difference if you are pulled over because your license plate is out of date, or tail lights missing, or a head light out. Or you are pulled over because you got caught pulling a wild hair and was running 150mph in your Challenger!
That type of speed situation may be an extreme example, you may not be going that fast. But if you are way over the speed limit, or driving reckless doing burnouts, or such as that, and get pulled over by an LEO? You are instantly on the other side of the law fence, so you'd best be very careful how you decide to display a weapon then.
That should be clarified enough to easily understand! My 2 Cents.
If I were looking to jack someones car and saw a gun of any type on the seat, hanging from the seat belt or anywhere else, I would be most likely to look for another car to jack.@terry56
Every state has its own laws regarding transporting a firearm in a vehicle. Obviously your state allows carrying in the vehicle like that, but that does not apply to all states. If you have a concealed weapons permit you were trained and educated on what is, and is not legal. IMO, you posting this here, showing it mounted in your car is rather irresponsible!
You got a mouse in your pocket? You wear shorts. We wear blue jeans...I use to carry an ankle holster for my "J" frame wheel gun, but in Az. we wear shorts most of the year and it just seemed counter-productive![]()
Nice concept, but I prefer mine on my hip at all times. To each his own. Please DON'T EVER LEAVE THAT UNATTENDED!it attaches to the seat belt with a velcro starp and bunge cords to the seat frame its called high way holster and got it on amizon
its only there when im a road trip most of the time its on my hipNice concept, but I prefer mine on my hip at all times. To each his own. Please DON'T EVER LEAVE THAT UNATTENDED!
No Law Enforcement Agency is going to allow a handgun to be carried in anything other than on the LEO's person. Shotgun and Tactical Rifle mounts are a different story. There are plenty of 'gun safes' for vehicles on the market. I have one in every car and use it for other valuables as well as my pistol if I will be in a place/business that restricts firearms. To try and keep this on topic and related to the OP's post. I simply do not know the answer to this question, but I will ask it...
Chargers are very similar to our Challengers, and they are a common law enforcement vehicle. Are there any mounts / devices / holsters / locking safes / etc that are designed for Chargers that could be used in our Challengers??

I'm assuming you spend your summer in an air conditioned room. You got a mouse in your pocket? You wear shorts. We wear blue jeans... View attachment 300810
Nope, I'm a native; born and bred. I don't even have A/C in my house; just a swamp cooler...I'm assuming you spend your summer in an air conditioned room.
Not even A/C, that's unfortunate. Funny how people handle the heat. Of my 11 man crew, myself included, only two of them wear long pants in the summer and most of them wear shorts just about all year long, except for a few days when it's not summer. My two young Mexican labors wear long pants all the time, when I talk to them about it I get the impression that it's a macho thing in their culture, men with naked legs sort of thing. Myself, I find the material sticking to my sweaty body uncomfortable, but I've only been here since 1947 so I have time to get my mind right and maybe man up like youNope, I'm a native; born and bred. I don't like A/C. A swamp cooler is much more enjoyable if I turn it on. It humidifies. Otherwise a ceiling fan suits me just fine. I've never had denim stick to my legs.
