Questions About "eagle" Intake/short Runner Valve

I gots 2 questions for you guys, and you probably heard them before but I'm not finding definitive answers in a search, so here goes...

A few years ago I saw it mentioned somewhere (I can't find it now) what the stock setting is for Short Runner Valve actuation. I believe it was around 3000 rpm, but I can't seem to find that spec anymore. Does anyone recall? The reason I ask is that my new toy, as well as my old 2010 Challenger and another 6-speed car I test drove, often make a noise that sounds like playing cards flapping in a spoked wheel, starting right around 3000 rpm during part throttle acceleration. At WOT the symptom disappeared. Since I've experienced it on more than one car, I'm not worried about imminent failure, but it can be annoying.

Now, before we jump on the "Hemi Tick" explanation for every unsettling noise these engines make, let me state that I am very familiar with the infamous "Hemi Tick" and this is not it. It never occurs at idle, and never at lower rpm. It is not that "sewing machine" noise some people report. Nor is it consistent with rod knock or piston slap; it's at the very top end and is a much higher frequency. Like I said, not really worried, and I can usually get around it by not driving like granny, just wondering what the heck it is. Based on RPM and where it seems to be emanating from, I was wondering if it could have anything to do with SRV function.

Which brings me to question #2: I may have access to a take-off from a 6.4. I've heard of people attempting to install a 6.4 SRV-equipped intake manifold on their Eagle 5.7's. I suspect such a mod would be best when properly matched with a cam, etc. but I'm just looking for general consensus regarding whether it's worth it or not. (I'll try a new search just on that, in case the details have been well covered before, but feel free to post a quick 'yay' or 'nay' if you have experience with this).

Just a third observation: Not driving this car for most of the winter is going to suck really, really bad. :(

Found an answer on a different site. Apparently it's a direct bolt-on, but wiring differs; to get the short runners to activate, folks are using a Cirkit Boss powering an MSD rpm window switch to activate the short runner valves at around 4600 or so. I've seen claims of up to 20-25 lb-ft. I can get such a deal on the intake I might consider trying it...

Oh, and Happy New Year everyone!

That sounds very cool... if you could get the intake on the cheep that is a huge increase for the money... back when these engines were putting out 345/355 HP it was somewhat easy to add HP now that they are at 375 it is much harder to find major gains without going to a SC.
