Just an FYI, in the event you need a new windshield for your 2016 Scat Pack. Not sure if the size is applicable to all models/years. Anywho, apparently there is a Humidity Sensor on the windshield. I didn't have an answer to this question when they asked me when placing the order, but apparently they didn't know either and they came out with the wrong windshield.

Any idea what this Humidity Sensor does?

First guess would be for the automatic wiper activation, if you have that option.

That's what it is for. I had a stone hit my windshield of my Challenger GT about 2 months after I got it and didn't want to replace the windshield on an almost new car I figured that getting one with the Challenger in the bottom right corner would had if not impossible as they are probably shipping all they can make to the factory for building new cars and the aftermarket ones would not have it. So I had it repaired and also found out that if it had to be replaced that those with the automatic wipers cost about $1,200 dollars not including installation. I will have the windshield replaced at some time later when scratches or more cracks appear but I did check my auto insurance to see if my policy covered glass replacement and was glad to find that it does.

Free glass replacement here in MA, covered under insurance.

I do not have automatic wipers though.

I would have left it but as I am planning to turn the car in, hopefully this month, it will need to be fixed.

my insurance covers replacement, but with normal deductible ($500). But windshield repair is covered by insurance 100%. I've had to have 2 chips repaired in the 2 years I've owned this car. That huge windshield provides a big target for stones coming off other car's tires.

Glad I don't have to worry about the automatic rain sensors.
