I had the best one yet on Monday since I’ve purchased my PCSP Challenger. My stepson had his youth group over and a new guy came over this time. I was out and when I got home, the misses told me the new guy thought my PCSP was the greatest thing. I went upstairs, got the fob, and came downstairs. I went over to him, introduced myself, and asked him to follow me out to the garage. I started it with the remote. I thought his eyes were going to roll out of his head! He went over to the car and I opened the driver’s door so he could look inside. Finally, very humbly, he asked if he could sit in the car. I told him he could. He just sat there...no comments...just staring around at the inside of the car. He finally said that car was just “incredible.”

I love reading these gawker stories. They literally make me smile. I love the attention these cars bring and the joy I get talking to complete strangers about it.

He's right, I love the new interiors on these cars.

So last week one evening after work, I was out in my garage installing the splash guards. I've lived in this house for 20 years, so I know everyone in the neighborhood. So I'm working and I see another one of the original homeowners walking up my driveway. We have known each other all these years, but we have always just been "acquaintances". So Larry comes up and says "I've been wanting to come by and check out your Challenger ever since you got it. Saw you working on it, and thought this would be a good time".

He then begins spouting off stats of all the Challenger models, how much they weigh, what kind of HP, etc... I say "Man, you know a lot about Challengers". He says "Yeah, I'm just a big fan of muscle cars. I read all the magazines and keep up with them, but I've never bought one myself". You could just see it in his eyes, he was in love with it. He asked if he could pop the hood, and then drooled at the site of the engine. He asked if he could sit in it, of course I let him. And he was just blown away by the interior. Said it was the most amazing car interior he had ever seen. I told him to go ahead and fire it up. He grinned ear to ear when that Hemi fired up. And the amazement continued when I showed him all the info on the EVIC and Performances Pages.

We chatted for a long time. In fact, it was the longest conversation we have had in our 20 years living there.

These cars have a knack of bringing people together.

Well I have a best and worst story. On the way to Hot August Nights in Reno NV last week I passed a car full of kids and they rolled down the windows with all smiles and thumbs up. On the way back I had cruise set a little above the speed limit. Caught up to a guy driving a Ford Fiesta who felt the need to speed up matching and then surpass my speed. He then slowed down and I passed him again with my original cruise speed. Next thing I know he's following behind me at the same speed and matching my movements. Must have been this way for about 20 miles until he got off at an exit. I did nothing to provoke this guy other than just pass his Fiesta in my Challenger. Some people's children...

Traveled to Tampa last wk, decided to get a big box of Krystal burger to bring home (we don't have Krystal at home). Map showed the only option was in a kinda rough part of town. After a drive-by to see if it looked safe to stop, I hit the drive-thru & ordered. I had to "park it" because of the large order. The lady walked out & said, Where you headed? I said, Tallahassee. She said I bet you'll get to Tally fast in that ride!!!

Went to vote in a state primary last week, I live in a small district and this was extremely light turnout due to just being a primary. So I'm the only voter with no less than a dozen workers and or election monitors at the place. As I'm leaving a guy holds the door and says is that your Challenger? I say it sure is, he asks if he can check it out. I open it up and let him poke around, we probably had a 5 minute conversation. That was about the last place I expected that!

Only had mine a week and feeling this big time. Never expected it at all.

I think the funniest is when members of the male species realize a female is driving, (I am sure the other ladies here have experienced this!), doesn't help that I have a lead foot. There is always a "well I wasn't expecting that!" look on their face.

And why is it that every Camaro (lots of them around here) and Mustang feel the need to speed off at traffic lights?? I guess this is all new to me. People are strange.

Get used to it.

Your going to get that a lot. We also have a Camaro but we don't act like that. We just smile and wave. LOL

There was a guy in front of me at the lights. Put his foot down and flew on green. I just plodded along and then pulled up next to him at another light 3 miles down the road. His speed demon got him real far ahead of me apparently.

I have noticed that *most* other Challenger owners do a flash as they drive by on the opposite side of the road. I kinda like that.
